The water hammer relief valve adopts a direct-acting structure. The pressure relief value is set by directly comparing the spring force inside the valve with the pressure before the valve. When the pipeline pressure exceeds the set pressure value, the pressure before the valve will be greater than the spring force, and the valve disc of the water hammer relief valve will quickly open under the pressure before the valve to relieve pressure, effectively protecting the system. When the pressure before the valve drops below the set pressure, the water hammer relief valve will close. Due to the action of the hydraulic damping system, the valve will close slowly. By adjusting the flow control check valve in the hydraulic damping system, the closing speed of the water hammer relief valve can be regulated.
